I like the idea but like Showstein said, it's too wordy. Maybe we could pull off something just with the line "It's in my blood to be an Aztec warrior."

I'm sorry but Vamanos Aztecs is too good of a chant to change. Nobody likes us. We don't care.

Fembone, do you think the band would play the chorus of Hey Jude starting with better... better... BETTER YEAAAHHH?" Might be a way to kickstart this brilliant idea and create something really beautiful. Need more a capella chants Agreed. This should join Seven Nation Army and Tarzan Boy in our repertoire of a cappella songs.

Stewart Mandel of SI on twitter: "Illegal spinning??? Did I hear that right?" and then "Semi clarification ... The penalty was "illegal stemming." It's for trying to get the opponent to jump early. Still had never heard it." Rocky Long referred to it as a "phantom penalty"

Dana O'Neil and Eamonn Brennan just revealed their top 5 plus honorable mentions. Number 3 behind Pitt and Duke. Not too shabby. Even better, BYU didn't manage to crack the top 5. Podcast link: espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=7356347

What do you guys think about using the nananananan... from Hey Jude? Catchy. Simple. Recognizable. What more could you want? "naaa naaa naaa na na na na. na na na na GOO STATE" youtu.be/eDdI7GhZSQA?t=3m1sThis.

Choreography isn't really our thing, short of fist pumps and "Jump on It". If you watch those videos though there is very minimal choreography. They literally only do the robot, the monkey, and fist pump while jumping around the whole time. Can't be that hard to figure out can it? Choreography aside, we don't need to steal any more chants/dances. We are a creative bunch and can figure out stuff on our own.

A couple of weeks ago Rex and I were talking about how sweet it would be if we managed to do a Harry Potter Puppet Pals chant during a game. Specifically this one. We were thinking that each part of the student section would get a different character. We would start it off up front with the "Snape, Snape, Severus Snape" and then each section would join in. We would probably need leaders for each section. I know this sounds a little complicated, but I think this could easily go viral on youtube if we managed to pull it off. Opinions?

Well I don't want to take credit for it, but this was Levi's idea and I think it'd look pretty sick!!! i.imgur.com/ZSCBX.pngLove it, but I think you should reverse the colors. Black background, red X. We can mix it up each game. Some days black X, some days red X.

We could make up a chant for each player during warmups and keep doing it until they acknowledge the crowd like they do at Yankee stadium. C-TAP *clap* *clap* C-TAP *clap* *clap* Raaahhooonn Raaahooooonn Raaaaaahoooonn (like the UNLV Rebel chant) Coming up with chants for all of them might be hard but I think it's doable over a few beers and some pizza

Here are a couple I would love the Show to do: The "can anyone find the keys to the bus" one is pretty good. The PA announcer asks that and then the crowd takes out their keys and shakes them. When someone travels you go UH OH...YOU FORGOT TO DRIBBLE Or on a turnover one person yells...WHICH WAYS IT GOING...and the rest of the crowd goes THAT WAY and points..than the guy goes again...WHICH WAY...than you all say THAT WAY again and point.. after a bad call: "Nuts and bolts, nuts and bolts, we got screwed!" -do the woosh after free throws and all yell 3 after a 3-pointer Winning, Losing www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARpzavb7PQk&feature=relatedPretty much every type of chant you suggested will either not work or we have well established for the situation. We can definitely explore options for different situations, but I'm really comfortable with what we have. 1. Winning Team losing team isn't going to happen. Our position on the court makes it damn near impossible. 2. We already have a traveling chant. "You walked. You traveled. You took too many steps. That's right you walked." 3. Already have a turnover chant. The drummer in the band plays and then we all woo. 4. We've been trying a variety of different bad call chants. Still experimenting there. 5. We already have a free throw chant. "Aztecs, give 'em hell state WOO" 6. Three pointers we all just start yelling and screaming so chants would be meaningless there. Thank you for the suggestions though.
