I don't know if there's time, but you could do a raffle / auction to lead the I Believe chant with the graduating seniors (Tim Shelton & Garett Green) for their last home game. Maybe you could tie it in with the jersey presentation ceremony somehow... There are probably challenges getting active players to lead the chant, etc., but I'll just throw out the suggestion and let you brilliant folks to do all of the grunt work to actually make it happen. Pretty sure coach won't let his current players leave the huddle/warmups to lead the cheer. Also, it's probably #noncompliance

I CAN NOT STRESS HOW IMPORTANT TONITES GAME IS FOR US TO GET A HUGE STRANGLE HOLD ON THIS CONFERENCE AND ON A HIGHER SEED FOR THE TOURNEY. YOU ALL KNOW THAT AND WITH A WIN OVER NEW MEXICO TONIGHT ALONG WITH UNLV'S STUPID LOSS LAST NIGHT WE COULD BE SITTING PRETTY ATOP THE MOUNTAIN WEST STANDINGS WITH A ONE GAME LEAD. KEEP IN MIND THAT UNLV PLAYS AT NEW MEXICO ON SATURDAY AND SOMEONE WILL HAVE TO LOSE THERE. SO....IN CLOSING, I BEG AND IMPLORE EVERYONE IN THE STUDENT SECTION WHO IS PART OF THE SHOW TO BRING IT HARD TONIGHT...DONT FUCKING LET UP!! LEAVE IT ALL OUT THERE TONIGHT AND IF YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING TOO FAR...GO ONE MORE STEP FARTHER!!! GIVE IT TO NEW MEXICO AND REMEMBER HOW THEY "TRIED" TO MAKE US LOOK BAD WHEN WE VISITED THEIR SHACK! "HIT EM AGAIN, HIT EM AGAIN..." While I thank you for the pep talk, I'm actually kind of insulted that you felt this needed to be said. We know what we're doing. We'll bring it just as hard as we did when UNLV came in January. And this time a lot of us won't be hungover.

So, the lacrosse coach is wanting some support for the team's first ever home game and I was thinking of bringing GeckShow outta retirement for the Strasburg ceremony at 6 pm and then walking over to the lacrosse game. Anyone else down? \\ A bunch of us were planning on going to the baseball game. Maybe we'll come to the end of the lacrosse match.

Chants

Somehow the "I believe" chant has become some indistinguishable murmuring. After the third or fourth "I believe that we will win!" you can't even understand what people are saying. You can tell Rex was trying to keep the chant slow. What I've been noticing is that the middle section tries to keep i believe and other chants slow but the upper side section speeds everything up really bad. Not really sure how to fix it. We could always talk to them before every game. Tell them to calm their tits and not speed up chants.

I can't wait to to tell Drew Gordon just exactly how much of a failure his father thinks he is. That might be the most beautiful thing I've ever read.

So from the telecast that I saw winston appeared either very serious about our program or very uninterested with it. Every crazy play or dunk or pass did not get a rise out of him at all. And there were ALOT last night. He sat behind the aztecs bench dressed in a black suit and orange tie looking really professional...compare that with how he looked when he went to new mexico in street clothes and siiting in the student section. I dont know but it seems to me like sdsu is no joke to him and wanted to be serious about it. That wasn't him behind the bench. He was sitting with his family in section D. Dear god public racism is awesome. He was dressed the exact opposite of professional. He was wearing a plaid shirt and a red hat. He came over to us at halftime and seemed entertained. Pretty sure he enjoyed me tearing a New Mexico flag in half and telling him to break their hearts just like that.

I always wanted to flash mob the usd game. Every Show member is milling some where around the jcp, but not going in. Then all at the same time, we start chanting and all descend upon the ticket takers. There would then be a steady flow of hopefully 200-300 crazies singing the fight song over and over again as we walk in a straight line to our seats We could do this in Vegas on Saturday. Go straight from showgaiting to flashmobbing.

I really wish the band would do at least one spontaneous Uprising during the game... I loved how it would randomly happen last year during a time-out and early in the OOC sched this year. It's great having it in the pregame ritual, and I love the acapella version but when the band starts it up everyone gets pumped and anticipates the moment when they cut out the music for the final verse. Bring this back!!! I didn't go to the Boise game, but didn't we do Uprising like 4 times throughout the Air Force game? Acapella this year. Last year was a lot of band started uprisings.

The reason, at least for me, that I am going to adhere to this, is because this came from athletics. We have a great relationship with athletics and they have always been good to us, and to blatantly ignore them a few days after meeting with them could have ramifications for The Show in that aspect.

Chase on Tap was Giles who worked on it for quite a while to get it perfect. We figured putting beer me near it would be funny.

My scanner isn't working so I'll just type it out, this letter is from Jay Larson, Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance:
It has come to our attention that some of our boosters and fans (including The Show members) have been getting involved in the recruitment process for SDSU basketball recruits (e.g., introducing themselves to recruits during games and inviting them to sit with The Show during games, making posters of recruits to display at games and asking recruits to autograph such posters, writing messages to recruits on their Twitter accounts, etc.).
While the SDSU Athletic Department appreciates your enthusiasm, please understand that your involvement in the recruiting process in prohibited by NCAA rules. The NCAA holds Athletic Departments responsible for the actions of their students and booster, so it is important for you to understand that the only permissible way for you to help us land recruits is to do what you do best - create the greatest game-day atmosphere in college basketball, without having contact with recruits or drawing attention to them. Here are the two main rules to keep in mind:
First, NCAA rules prohibit SDSU from publicizing a recruit's visit to campus in any manner. Here are a few examples of impermissible activies: 1. A student or fan creating a sign that includes a recruit's name, picture, or likeness. 2. The Show Leading a chant that includes a recruit's name. 3. A recruit leading the "I Believe" chant or sitting in the student section where they are more likely to appear on the videoboard.
Second, the only individuals who may contact a recruit for recruiting purposes are SDSU coaches and staff members. Other individuals may not have contact with recruits for purposes of recruitment. For example: 1. The Show members may not introduce themselves to recruits and tell them why they should play for the Aztecs. 2. The Show members may not contact a recruit through any means, including Facebook, Twitter, email, instant message, phone, etc. As an example, it would not be permissible for you to post a message on a recruit's Twitter account telling him to sign with SDSU.
Please know that you are an integral part of our current and future success, but please share these rules with The Show members to ensure that they do not do anything to jeopardize the eligibility of prospective SDSU student-athletes. If you have any questions, please contact me at 619-594-7925 or jlarson@mail.sdsu.edu. Thanks, and Go Aztecs.
Other topics discussed during the meeting: No signs with puns or wordplay of recruits' names. No chants of any kind about them. No retweeting certain twitter accounts (Edward Lewis) saying that recruits are coming. Recruits must approach us at games, we cannot approach them.

Some of us are meeting with athletics today to get a good definition of what we can and can't do when it comes to recruits. We'll let everyone know what is allowed at the game tonight.

We already do Seven Nation Army on defense, but I like the idea of some song during that situation. I do too, but problem is Viejas immediately turns on some music in these situations. Well, then we are going to be forced to be louder than the Viejas sound system. Simple as that.
