Just made a huge post when my browser closed (which made me scream) so here is a version with less explanation because I do not want to do it again. So this is a little lazy and might have mistakes if you find any let me know. You can see the guidelines here: grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/mwc/sports/m-baskbl/auto_pdf/2011-12/misc_non_event/mw-12-tourney-seeding.pdf and make the explanations yourself haha. Instead of doing homework today I thought my time would be better used making this so here we go. These scenarios assume there is a tiebreak between us and UNM and possibly UNLV. These are the scenarios that would give us the number one seed in the tournament. The main thing to keep in mind is that the fourth place spot is the most important. We need TCU there and DO NOT want CSU there. First- UNLV beats CSU - TCU beats Wyoming - WE WIN OUTThis falls down to UNM, UNLV and our records against fourth place which is TCU. Second- CSU beats UNLV - TCU beats Wyoming - WE WIN OUTThis one falls down to TCU and CSU record against Wyoming which TCU wins. Which puts them in fourth. Third- UNLV beats CSU - Wyoming beats TCU - AF beats CSU - WE WIN OUTSame standings as today so TCU gets fourth. Fourth- UNLV beats CSU - Wyoming beats TCU - CSU beats AF - WE WIN OUTThis one falls down to CSU vs. TCU RPI which is currently in CSU's favor and most likely will not get us number one. Main points and why it mattersWe have to win out and we need TCU in fourth place. However that happens is good news. Number one seed is especially huge in this year's tourney because we have 3 teams at the top this year. A number one seed gets to avoid the other two teams at the top until the championship: WIN WIN WIN CUT DOWN NETS

I'm not comprehending most of this. If you run out the scenarios, (figure out what the lower teams records will be as well) then all SDSU has to do is win both games.
I think you are running tie-breakers for lower seeded teams but that isn't necessary. They don't break the lower seeded ties until the top seeds have been determined. In the case they are tied, you consider them one spot and pool your record against all of them. In the case that CSU and TCU are tied at the end of the season, then the tie-breaker would be the record against Wyoming (who beat both UNLV and UNM but was swept by SDSU). AFA cannot tie Wyoming and bring RPI into the matter because CSU cannot lose to UNLV (needed to keep UNLV tied, which would make tie-breakers matter) and lose to AFA (which AFA would need to be tied with Wyoming) and be tied with TCU.
Just win and SDSU is #1.

THANKS FOR MAKING ME REALIZE I WASTED AN HOUR ON THAT Whatever man... lol

Not so fast my friends, there is one scenario where we win out and still don't get the 1 seed. IF UNLV and us win out, and also CSU wins out and TCU loses out, those 2 would be tied for 3rd. In that case UNLV and us would have split both of them and the next tie breaker is rpi which CSU would have a superior one. That would make CSU the 3rd place team and thus giving tie breaker edge to UNLV which swept them whereas we only split CSU.
This is why we root for CSU on Wednesday because if we win out this above scenario is the only one that keeps us out of 1 seed.

I misspoke. CSU wins 1 but loses to UNLV and TCU loses out then those two will be tied for 3rd and the rest of my post is still valid.

Don't you mean tied for 4th?

Don't you mean tied for 4th? SDSU/UNLV tied for 1st, UNM 2nd, TCU/CSU tied for 3rd. It's insignificant as far as the scenarios I laid out go.

Where did I say I was reciting the CURRENT standings? The scenarios I spoke on above are and we're referred to as such, as tie breaking hypotheticals

The lower seed tiebreakers don't happen until the higher seeds are determined. That means that in this scenario where CSU and TCU are tied, they are counted as a single team we played 4-times. That means the tiebreaker would fall to record vs 6th place which will be Wyoming. The only way AFA ties Wyoming is if CSU and TCU are not tied. Win 2 games. Get the 1-seed.

Actually I figured it out:
We wanna beat Boise by 7, no more, no less.
We need UNLV to tie with CSU and TCU to win another Rose Bowl.
ASSUMING THOSE THINGS HAPPENS
We get the one seed if Wyoming 's women's volleyball team can raise enough money to go to nationals against Cobra Kai. If WYO wins, all we need to do is find the jade monkey before the next full moon and BOOM Jimmer's family will be killed.
That's what we're going for, right?
