When teams bring larger fan bases, I think its best to not acknowledge them being there. (looking towards them, holding up signs at them, directing chants towards then) For the most part, this hasn't been an issue, but in a couple games it was.
I think as a visiting team fan, getting the home crowd focused on your presence instead of the game itself is probably the best thing you can do.
I'm not saying let them do whatever chants. Obviously we would want to drown them out, just saying ignore the fans. Focus our efforts on the game and players.
Your thoughts?

I could not agree more.
This is one of the reasons we're so successful in Vegas. They're fans get pissed at how much louder than them we are and the focus on us and not the game. So no home court advantage. Plus their roster just sucks. Well we know you can't always hit the jackpot.

If only there was a way to communicate this to the green glob. But alas that is impossible. Drunk frat boys in row 40 will always want to flick off other fans.. Even with the elderly and children present.
But as always the lower section is the one that will represent the show. So Mikey is right.
The only exception to this is doing the hey you suck chant or at the end of games telling them to have a nice trip home.

Also, it should be pretty easy to get a certain student section to be more concerned with our presence this saturday than the game itself. They're already more focused on us. For all you people heading up.

Unless the roam into our section... boo them outta there and hold "the people behind me can't see" sign in front of them which is quite humorous.

At its core Mikey is absolutely right. When traveling on the road, The Show lives for getting a reaction. But in reality it's hard to voice it to everyone at Viejas. Always inevitable when dealing w vocal road fans.
