Not sure how many of you guys have seen these, these were done in 2009 during the 10 year anniversary of coach Fisher at SDSU. They counted down the top 10 games.
Some of us on this board remember watching all of these games (I was at number 3 as a high schooler) but I would bet that a lot of you never have.
It's just good to know where we've come from and they are some pretty cool links. A lot of the guys in the video still go to a lot of the games including Trimaine Davis, Aerick Sanders and of course coach Tony Bland.

Awesome! Thanks for posting this. I do think number 6 and number 4 should be switched though.
Cant wait to see the top 10 for coach Fisher's 20th anniversary! Shoot, we might have to have a top 25 after last season!

It's crazy to watch these as well as the 'Top 10 most viewed highlights" countdown they did back in 09 (I think). Becuase both these series came out right before the crazy rennaisance.
Right in the middle of Strasburg mania, but before Kawhi, before the Poinsettia Bowl.
We were celebrating our history back then without knowing the next 2 years were about to make the past 10 seem like nothing.

Dude, the No, 8 video. Check out Marshall at 2:04 in his sweet leather jacket and hot white wife.
God bless that man.

I can honestly say that this was the most Linkin Park I've listened to in about 10 years. But seriously, thank you for posting these. Flat out beautiful videos to watch.

Thanks for posting these. So cool to reminisce about those good times. I find it so funny though that two years later they could re-do this list and you'd maybe have two or three of those games still on it also yes how like 8 of them are against Wyoming who's now terrible. It shows how far we've come and I could not be more proud of our head coach. I look forward to the day that it becomes Viejas Arena and Steve Fisher Court.

Like 8 of these are against Wyoming. I guess playing teams coached by rats bring the best out of us.

We should have beaten Indiana in the first round f the tournament (lost on a buzzer beater) and would have had a great matchup against Adam Morrison's Gonzaga in the next round. That team just lacked the winning attitude and culture that SDSU has now, but don't get it twisted there is no 34-3 and 13 sellouts without guys like Bottoms (Brandon Heath) and Marcus Slaughter who paved the way. Those two would be the best two players even on this years team. Although Tapley is sure giving Bottoms a run for his money. He is drawing Heath comparisons and with good reason.

Here's a highlight video of the 2006-07 season. It includes awesome Jerome Habel highlights, but if you want to see how special Brandon Heath was check out the play at 3:36.

More from the 2006-07 season. It's probably my favorite stretch of home games ever. It went like this...
Utah... the Aztecs had been down by 10 in this game, we made a comeback and this was the play that gave us the lead.
Air Force... yes Air Force was once ranked in the top 25. They were #13 coming into this game. We just absolutely crushed them. Notice the score. Listen to the roar of the crowd.
UNLV... if I remember correctly UNLV was a fringe top 25 team and their RPI was something ridiculous like 12 or something. We ended up winning by 15, but it didn't feel that close.
BYU... they came in as #22 and we ran them out of the gym literally from the first play. We ended up winning by 12, but much like the UNLV game it was really never close. At one point it was 30-7.

Number 1 was the best court rushing ever. Better than byu last year, better than st Mary's in the nit. Ok, maybe the game at the st Mary's tourney where the ten people that were there rushed was up there as well, but it wasn't televised, so I still don't know if it actually happened. we probably should have lost in the first round, we shouldn't have beat Wyoming, and the Vegas game was when the origins of The Show were beginning to take form. Before the game, senior DL Akbar Gbaja-Biamila walked up the stairs to the row we were sitting in to talk to us. Halfway up the stairs, he stops next to some high school kids wearing Vegas t-shirts, points his giant, black finger in their faces and tells them "you will not forget the day that the Aztecs came and danced on your floor." he then proceeded to tell us that they would have to arrest him tonight to keep him from rushing. Not many Aztec fans went to Vegas back then for the tourney, and I'd say we had about 500 in attendance. You can see from the shock on the rebel players face who was lying on the floor that us rushing wasn't even an option. It wad people of all ages that i met at center court. And they came from all parts of the arena. If I recall correctly, it was our rushing that year, that caused the Thomas and Mack to put up those horrific boards around the floor to keep people from doing that again. I'm proud to say I was a part of it, and that I almost broke the ankle of some Vegas bitch who was trying to trip Aztec fans as we descended onto our home away from home floor

Brandon Martin went apocalyptic on the bench when Wade dunked in that Utah clip.
Love it.
