out of the arena...
They may have won the first meeting, but we will win the war...
(from about the 3:45 mark)
It is so on... hold nothing back.
From the first glance to the last drop, any sight/smell/___ that wreaks BYU will end up traumatized... forever.

It really needs to be known that BYU fans — ESPECIALLY ONES THAT DARE SIT IN THE SHOW — will have their personal well being and safety at risk. I don't care if they bring their 4 kids under the age of 2 to use as human shields.. it's going to be ugly.

Seriously, though...don't storm the court. We're supposed to win. And we're ranked higher. Shit looked like amateur hour even when BYU did it in Provo last month.

I am hoping we can refrain from the "You're still Mormon" chant? That was quite lame.

Yeah seriously DON'T storm the court. You simply DON'T do that against team you're ranked higher than. And did you watch the Ohio State vs Purdue game today. 11 Purdue beat 2 Ohio State and Purdue's fans DIDN'T storm the court. We'll show them mormon's how it's done by NOT storming the court!!

So do we storm for CSU then? Because that wraps up the MWC for us?

Plus when BYU did it to us, it was their way of admitting that we are the better team. We are supposed to win. We are better. We will not storm the court.

I fully support the anti-court-storming philosophies. However, I think we all know that the front-runners who will show up 5 minutes before gametime will be set on rushing the court. So what do we do? Signs pointed to the back of the student section urging them to NOT rush?
And if we cannot stop them, and they all rush past us, do we stand there defiantly or do we say "fuck it, the damage is done, might as well join in and have some fun"?

I think signs making fun of the BYU fans for rushing the court may deter some people from doing it here. But what needs to happen is when we're up by 20 with a minute to go, we'll crowd the aisles and push everyone up the stairs and head over to the BYU section to point and laugh at them (possibly chanting STORM THE MORMONS!!! or something to that effect).

Some dumb ass will think it is a good idea to storm the court, but the fact is that most people there will take their cue from those in the front.
Honestly, I hope some frat boy douchebag decides to storm. I love when that happens (last time was a couple years ago when we beat a top 15 conference team -- Air Force or New Mexico maybe). The get about 10 feet out when they realize they're the only ones, then awkwardly freeze while trying to figure out their next move. Then security escorts them off the court.
I will say that a lot will depend on what security decides to do. If they line up on the baseline with security tape out, then students are going to think they are supposed to rush. If they treat it like every other game, then the masses won't have that idea placed in their heads.
Oh, and if we happen to be up by 20, then I better hear a "RUN UP THE SCORE" chant.

I just want to say that almost every "Fan" that I have talked too has full intention of storming the court when we win. I really do not want to see this happen, I think it will make our student section look like a bunch of idiots.
I think a sign or two is a must. I tried explaining the logic, but it failed.

Post it on FB, or make an event of it. Also if one does make signs .. they should be signed, or something by some in the student section .. because I think if not, then the students will think the administration, or others have posted them thus more likely to storm the court in defiance of the authority of State's officials.

This "storm the BYU fans" shit needs to stop. Rebel fans are thugs. AZTEC FANS ARE NOT!! The ballgame on the court is message enough. (And those of you who know me know this is coming from a very, very passionate Aztec fan, 24 years worth.)

The fact of the matter is, even acknowledging opposing fans is dumb. They're not worth our time. All I care about is the game on the court and doing whatever I can to swing the game in state's favor.

Exactly. And really acknowledging BYU fans in general is dumb. They already have an inflated sense of self worth. In their minds they are so important that they warrant this.
