Hey Guys, Just got into Aztec basketball late last year (my freshman year), so call me a bandwagon-er if you must.  But I've been to a few games this year and was curious as to what some of the cheers we cheer are. Pregame: -I. Believe. That. We. Will. Win. Offense: -SD-SU -Let's go Aztecs Defense: -Jumping "oOo" -D- Fence -"Whooo" Free Throws: -Left/right/hard/short Fouls on us: -"Bull sh*t" Fouls on them: -This is the one i'm confused on. If you guys could fill out any missing chants and cheers I think this would be good guide for us "newbies". |

bullshit is not a sanctioned chant, persay. fouls on them is "you, you, you, yeah you. then the girls repeat yeah you

First of all, Welcome to the Show, glad that you've made it to the board and getting hyped for the games. So most of your chants are right on, the only thing I would add would be the "Uprising" chant.
They will not force us
They will stop degrading
They will not control us
WE. WILL. BE. VICTORIOUS.

Welcome to the board.
You're definitely not a band wagoner if you got into Aztec Basketball your freshman year.
The bullshit chant is VERY RARELY started by the first couple of rows. I would say only once or twice in the last couple years and only when the call really is pure bullshit. Most of the time that chant is started the reality is it really was a foul on us.
When there's a foul on the other team, watch the first couple rows and a couple arms will go up and spin twice, on the third spin we all chant
"YOU! YOU! YOU! YAAAA YOU!"
then the girls in the audience/cheerleaders go "YEAH YOU!"
Offensively also have
"To the Hoop Aztecs To the Hoop" *clap* *clap* *clap* "To the Hoop Aztec To The Hoop"
And Defense one you didn't mention
"Defense Aztecs Defense!" *clap* *clap* "Defense Aztecs Defense!"
Also
1/2 the Crowd
"D! D! D!"
Other Half
"Defense!"

This thread should either get pinned, but I think a better option would be to dedicate an entire section of the website to chants that people could consult.

Has the "Beast, Beast, Beast" chant caught along enough for when Brian Carlwell does something sick? If so we should do something like "Feed the Beast, Feed the Beast" when he throws down a monster dunk or something. My buddy facebooked him and asked him if he didn't mind being called beast and he said it was cool. What do you guys think?

My buddy facebooked him and asked him if he didn't mind being called beast and he said it was cool. What do you guys think? He doesn't like it that much. I think he feels alright about it but he doesn't take ownership of it. Personally in don't say beast. But i WILL be getting those dope athletic goggles He wears by conference |
